About Us

Founded in 1999, Engage (formally Chase Solutions) was originally formed to service the deregulation of the energy industry. Making a strong impression in the market place, the company was acquired by a high street bank followed by a leading debt collection agency in 2007.

Since 2013, Engage has been owned and run by its own, independent management team and has diversified into many different markets.

Now a well-established business with over 70 employees and large network of over 800 active field agents covering the UK and Ireland, Engage are the UK’s field service specialists.

Michael has been part of Engage since 2002, where he has completed a wide variety of roles across the business, spending several years in the field before heading the UK field operations team.  Michael also ran the internal operations over a number of years as well business development since acquiring the business in 2013.

Michael is one of the very few true ‘field’ experts in our industry, passionate about delivering field services to our clients and our industries.

Currently Michael and his team are responsible for all client relationships, business development and performance as well as driving innovation through technology to ensure we exceed our clients expectations and remain a market leader in our field.

General Operations Director

Strategic Director Gary Jones is responsible for Internal Operations and IT system development. He has worked in the collections industry for over thirty years. Before joining Engage, Gary spent six years with Lowell Group as Director of Operations and Director of External Recoveries, latterly managing £5m monthly 3rd party relations collections and 28 panel members. Work included insolvency and debt management. 

Gary had previously started and sold two businesses in the sector, the second of which, J2 Solutions (part of Mackenzie Hall) was bought by Lowell group in 2009. 

He has been on the board of the Credit Services Association and was responsible for launching industry standards for customer tracing via the Trace Code of Conduct.

Kevin Ellaby

Kevin Ellaby

Director of Field

Kevin was appointed as Director of Field for Engage in December 2016 and is responsible for all aspects of the field operations including The Allocations Team, the Head of Field, 3 Regional Managers and over 400 employed and self-employed field staff.

Previously Director of Operations for our document complete and collection service “Engage Appointments” where he was responsible for circa 300 agents and 8 internal coordinators, along with the development roadmap of our appointments portal.  Kevin has spent over 8yrs in key operational roles within this sector and has created sector start-ups, to enable businesses to grow to over £2m revenue operations.


Prior to his time within the document handling and completion sector, Kevin spent over 18 years in the financial services sector and is a qualified financial Advisor and has held senior managerial positions with some of the top 10 financial institutions.

As Head of Client Services, Bronia is the key day-to-day contact for all Engage clients.  Prior to this, she was Senior External Recoveries Manager at Lowell Group with overall responsibility for panel management & performance of 12 Collection Agencies on the panel, recovering £2m per month collectively.

With over 13 years industry experience,  Bronia has held positions within the Lowell Group as Client Services Manager and Collections Team Leader and prior to this as Operations Manager for J2 Solutions which was part of Mackenzie Hall.

Ricky Donnelly

Ricky Donnelly

Head of Field

Currently Head of Field Operations at Engage Limited, responsible for directing all aspects of the Field Operations; managing Regional Managers and Performance Coaches, 30 Employed staff and 300 Self-employed.

Ricky has been with Engage for 2 years now. Since joining Engage he has successfully re built the the field force and implemented staff transferral from manual to working electronically on an App. He has further overseen the smooth introduction of Audio whilst adhering to FCA guidelines. Previously Ricky spent 6yrs with Power to Contact Training and Developing the Field Force as Regional Manager.

Ricky started his career at Thorn Home Serve / Radio Rentals (now currently known as Boxclever). Ricky began his career as a Map Reader and progressed through the ranks from Warehouse Manager through to Field Operations Manager within a short timescale. Ricky was responsible for 60 Field Engineers and 30 delivery drivers. Furthermore he was responsible for the budget and costs of the Operation Centre. In this role Ricky made some key changes to the business  including implementation of staff working with HHT devices and re-training engineers so that all were multi skilled in both TV technology and white goods.

Darren Salmon

Responsible for the Internal Operations of the Engage Contact Centre and Warrants Team. Darren has previous experience in working in conjunction with field based teams with Independent Group (UK) Ltd and NCO Europe acting as an appointed third party services with up to 8 Team Managers and 100 Customer Advisors

Prior to this, Darren spent 5 years with Lowell Group as Collections Team Manager. Responsible for the collections and operation of up to 40 Contact Centre Advisors services clients from the financial, utility and insurance sectors.

Before joining Lowell, Darren was Senior Operations Manager at J2 Solutions Ltd, which was part of the Mackenzie Hall Group. J2 Solutions specialised in the tracing delivering tailored trace operations and performance for internal and external clients for varying industries including clients from the financial sector, legal services, private investigators and utility sector.
